Rescues Come And Go

Running a horse rescue is not easy. As a result, a lot of rescues come and go. That makes keeping the listings in our directory up-to-date a bit of a challenge. We work hard to provide our site visitors and members with accurate information. With that said, we do appreciate all the help we can get. If you should stumble upon a listing that is not up-to-date, or a dead link, please let us know. Send us an e-mail at: info@allhorsesource.com

Make Educated Decisions

It needs to be stated that All Horse Source does not promote or endorse any of the rescues listed in its directory.

The directory is meant to be an aid to help horse enthusiasts locate rescues and sanctuaries in their area.

Before choosing to use a rescue and before choosing to support a rescue, we encourage you to do your research.

Sadly not all rescues are legitimate. Just because a rescue has non-profit status does not guarantee that it has the best interest of horses in mind, nor does it guarantee that the rescue carries the values and goals that you think it should. There are plenty of people that hide behind the term "rescue" and use non-profit status to their own advantage.

The sound off section of the forums was designed to help educate horse enthusiasts about rescues by offering a place for them to read and write reviews. With that said, please take the time to read reviews about a rescue before utilizing or supporting it. Please also take the time to write reviews of rescues you have used, worked with, or donated time or funds to. Doing so will help educate others.

If you do not find the information you need here, please continue your search elsewhere. We would hate to see someone give up a horse to a less then honorable rescue, or adopt a horse from a shady place. We would also hate to see people donate their time and money to a rescue that doesn't live up to its mission.

Again, please do your research and share what you know. As always, All Horse Source is all about open communication and educating horse enthusiasts about horse businesses and services in their area.

Wild Horse Rescue Center

QUOTE

Welcome to the Wild Horse Rescue, Education and Rehabilitation Center.

We are dedicated to the preservation of the spirit of the west by saving America's wild heritage, the Mustang. At the center, Mustangs rescued from abuse or neglect are rehabilitated and adopted out to qualifying homes. We have recently acquired 501© nonprofit status and will be expanding our facilities and training center.

We also assist the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) as a safe holding center for reassignment cases. Since it's inception six years ago, over sixty Mustangs have been rescued, gentled or owner-mentored.

We educate the public to the plight of these magnificent creatures by providing workshops, clinics and lectures. Groups, such as the 4H, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts come to learn about the history of Mustangs and observe a horse gentling demonstration.

We promote the breed at Bureau of Land Management adoptions, schools, county fairs and wild life festivals. We also mentor Mustang owners in the care and gentling of their newly adopted wild horses.

WHR is available for special events and clinics. Please contact us for more information.

4970 International Avenue
Mims, Florida 32754
Tel: 321-427-1523
E-Mail: mustangladydi002@aol.com

http://www.mlwhr.com/

*Search by state for equine rescues in the All Horse Source Directory!
